One of several prototype Gundams developed by the SNRI as part of the Formula Project under the designation F97, the XM-X1 Crossbone Gundam X-1 was specifically designed to operate within Jupiter’s immense gravity well. The X-1 was secretly given to the Crossbone Vanguard and subsequently used as its flagship mobile suit by pilot Kincade Nau (aka Seabook Arno), who would use it during the Jupiter Wars.
