More than half a century had passed since humanity, under the guidance of the Earth Federation, began migrating to orbiting space colonies, a new home where people are born and raised… and die.
On Jan 3, UC 0079, war finally broke out between the Federation and the colony nation known as the Principality of Zeon. It was a situation that many have long feared. The One Year War, as the conflict was initially called, would prove to be one of the most devastating conflicts in human history, with half of their respective populations killed in the first week alone.
This brutal conflict, which historians would call the First Zeon War, would only be the first of a series of wars between Earth and its colonies, each just as terrible as the last.
