After Arcturus Mengsk engineered the Fall of Tarsonis and used the Zerg to wipe out the Confederacy’s leadership, Marshal Jim Raynor and his troops, horrified at Arcturus’s actions, turned against Mengsk. In the years that followed, Raynor’s Raiders, as his forces became known, would fight an insurgency campaign against the Terran Dominion, even as the Raiders found themselves dragged into events surrounding the Protoss and the Zerg.
