Padme Amidala was fourteen when she was elected monarch of Naboo. Shortly afterward, the Trade Federation invaded and occupied Naboo. With the help of the Jedi Knights, Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi, she escaped from the Trade Federation. It was on Tattooine that she met a young slave boy named Anakin Skywalker. From that moment on, her fate would be intertwined with Anakin.
