Krypton was once home to an advanced interstellar civilization until it was destroyed in a cataclysmic explosion. Everything on the planet died in the catastrophe…except a single infant boy. This boy was named Kal-El, son of Jor-El, who would be sent to Earth moments before Krypton exploded. In time, Kal-El would grow up to become the world’s greatest hero, Superman!
