Developed by the United Nations Earth at the height of the 7th Space War, the GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster was lightly armed compared to the other Gundam units, but it made up its lack of weapons with its ability to transform into a fighter jet with superior aerial combat capabilities.
After the horrific end of the 7th Space War, a number of Gundam Airmaster units would end up in the hands of civilians and other groups. One such unit ended up in the hands of a freelancer named Witz Su, who joined the Freeden crew led by Jamil Neate.
