Long ago on a distant planet called Cybertron, life evolved but not life as we know it. Sentient robotic beings known as Transformers, capable of switching between humanoid and vehicle forms, became the dominant life form on Cybertron.
For aeons, the Transformers lived in peace until pride and a lust for power divided the Transformers into two warring factions: the Autobots and the Decepticons. The war between the Transformers would completely devastate the planet, causing both sides to flee to another planet where they would continue their battle for supremacy.
This planet was known as Earth.
